Shipping
Pack records by "sandwiching" the record between two pieces of very stiff material. Press board, hard board or 1/4" plywood works well and is readily available in small dimensions at most home improvement stores. Pack the "sandwiched" record in a box with enough extra room that the record won't be damaged if the box is damaged. In warmer weather months it is advisable to ship records overnight so that they don't sit in hot vehicles for too long.
Why won't you transfer records I've bought?
Commercial recordings are protected by copyright law.
The mistake most people make with regard to purchased music is thinking they "own" the recording. Instead, think of it this way, when you purchased that record, you purchased the right to listen to that recording wherever, whenever and for as long as you like. Under the law you are permitted to make a copy for your own use. So you can also listen in your car, for instance. This does not give you permission to sell or even give that copy away. It also does not give us permission to make the copy for you. We strongly suggest that you re-purchase this music on CD. Most is readily available and far less expensive than having us transfer it for you.
